Write for us
Select World Dispatch welcomes clear, original pitches about food labels, ingredients, processing, product forms and the language used to describe food. A strong contribution helps readers understand one specific question without turning into buying advice or a health promise.
What we welcome
Pitch an explanation, comparison or carefully framed account of a food term or product detail that readers encounter in ordinary life. Useful subjects include how a label is organised, what a processing term means in context, or how two familiar forms differ. Keep the proposed piece within food literacy rather than medical, legal or financial advice.
What makes a useful pitch
Tell us the central reader question, the answer or distinction the piece will clarify, why it is worth explaining and how you would keep the scope focused. Flag any claims that need careful sourcing and explain how you would handle uncertainty. A pitch should show a fresh angle, not simply repeat an existing article idea.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant experience or links you wish us to consider. A proposal is not a commission; please wait for a response before sending a full draft.
