Editorial policy

Select World Dispatch aims to make food information understandable without overstating what a label or product description can prove. We write with care, explain uncertainty and welcome readers who spot a mistake.

Accuracy and clarity

Writers should use reliable, relevant information and check that explanations match the question at hand. Technical terms are explained in context. We distinguish facts stated on a package from broader interpretations, and we do not turn a limited label detail into a claim about a product's overall quality or effect.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to secure a sale or endorsement. Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled as such, and partner placements are visibly identified. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or determine an editorial conclusion.

Corrections

If a reader believes something is inaccurate or unclear, they can send the page details and the issue through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when a correction is warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.

Images and illustrations

Images are selected to support the subject and should not mislead readers about a product or process. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified so readers can distinguish an illustration from documentary imagery.
